There’s a lot happening this week around Franklin County, Missouri.

Tuesday, March 4
Bad Beats Dance Class is a fun way to get fit. This hour-long class will feature a blend of music genres and decades such as music from the 90s to present day, with dance moves that encompass Latin, jive, country, hip-hop, and more. Register for the class.

Wednesday, March 5
Explore your creative side and choose from making a St. Patrick’s themed Highland cow or a Mardi Gras painting at a paint night held at Sip on Main in Union. Included in the ticket price is a pre-traced canvas, plus $5 off food/drink at Sip on Main for that evening.

Thursday, March 6
Stop by The Tipsy Keg from 6 to 9 p.m. to line dance, or just relax and take in the music and dancing with your favorite drink in hand, if that’s more your style.

The third annual Shamwalk & Run event in Pacific will benefit MVR-III Bridge Foundation and Back to School Backpack Program. This St. Paddy’s Day themed run and walk will feature vendors you can visit before or after the race, as well as a Most Spirited Contest, 4 Leaf Clover Run, and Pot of Gold.

Saturday, March 8
The Denim & Diamonds event in St. Clair will feature a Dolly Parton lookalike contest, exclusive offers from small businesses in the area, and giveaways.

Tuesday, Feb. 25
Visit the Arby’s in Union to dine out and help a wonderful organization to raise money. When you mention Project Linus when ordering, a portion of the proceeds from your order made on Tuesday, Feb. 25 at the Arby’s in Union will benefit Project Linus of Franklin County. Projectlinus.org makes and collects NEW handmade blankets for kids in need.

Thursday, Feb. 27

Attend the 12th Annual Sip & Sample at the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Sullivan to sample wines, beers, spirits, and hors d’oeuvres, enjoy live entertainment, partake in a silent auction, 50/50 raffle and more all while supporting an amazing cause. The event will benefit The Covering House, an organization that provides refuge and restoration for sexually exploited and trafficked children and teens.

What’s Happening in Franklin County Feb. 3 – Feb 16, 2025

Tuesday, Feb. 4
Drop in to The Washington Coffee Shop from 8 to 9 a.m. for Coffee With a Cop. The event offers a chance to get to the know officers in your neighborhood, ask questions, or voice concerns.

Thursday, Feb. 6

Scenic Regional Library’s Pacific Branch is hosting a local art show. This hour long evening event is free to attend and is co-hosted with amazing local artist Rex Batson.

Saturday, Feb. 8
Held at The Historic John B Busch Brewery Event Center in Washington, the Chicken & Beer Dance promises an evening of good music, dancing, and tasty food! Shotgun Creek will perform live, while the venue will provide some fried chicken. Guests should bring sides for their table to enjoy. Saturday, Feb. 8 
Support a local American Legion while having fun playing bingo! Win prizes during the game and join in a glow dance party after bingo. All proceeds from this ticketed event benefit the Union American Legion Post 297 and local community causes.
